Background:
Midland Valley are a world leader in the field of structural geology providing consultancy and the Move Suite of analytical geological software. They provide software, consulting and training services to the Upstream Oil and Gas; Mineral Exploration and Resource Development; Carbon Capture and Storage and Radioactive Waste Management industries

Design Considerations:
With brand new offices operating in a clean virgin space it was imperative that the equipment chosen should not only function exactly as required but also be entirely sympathetic with the new surroundings. Given the enormous amount of ambient light from the window area a great deal of consideration had to be given to the choice of projector used, ensuring that under any and all lighting conditions it could produce crisp images with instant clarity.

Scotia Solution:
For the video and audio conferencing aspect of the job Scotia specified Polycom 300 and 500 series codec with IP7000 conference phones for audio conferencing. The projector chosen was a 5000 lumens Panasonic with a wall mounted screen. Speakers were discreet ceiling mounted Toa models powered from a Denon amp, for optimum clarity. For boardroom presentations a C Touch Leddura 55” LED Interactive Display was deployed to give maximum effect to presentations and a 50” LG screen was specified for the staff canteen.

Result:
Is an installation that effortlessly fulfils its function with both style and flare without drawing needless attention to itself. It blends seamlessly with the design aesthetic of the brand new Midland Valley office, offering all the ease of use and functionality required.
