Background:
The North of England Protecting and Indemnity Association, generally known as NEPIA, is a leading marine mutual liability insurer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK with regional offices in Hong Kong, Piraeus, Singapore and Tokyo. As part of the 13 group clubs provide liability cover for approximately 90 percent of the world´s ocean-going tonnage and, as a member of the group, North protects and promotes the interests of the international shipping industry.
Design Considerations:
The soution had to be a universal fit around the different locations as well as being future proofed technology. Each office had its own requirements in terms of setup and installation that had to be addressed.
The Scotia Solution:
Scotia settled on a Polycom solution utilising the HDX 7000 codec. Chosen for it´s Intuitive interfaces allowing users to adopt and use the unit quickly, the HDX 7000 telepresence systems has a variety of bundle options enabling the HDX 7000 telepresence systems to be wall-mounted, free-standing or easily wheeled to any location to accommodate visual communication in any room, in this instance a vital consideration when installing across multiple offices.
With embedded content sharing capabilities, HDX 7000 telepresence systems allow individuals to collaborate in HD detail on content such as diagrams, project plans, multimedia presentations and more.
The Result:
A seemless rolled out installation that guaranteed HD communication and collaboration with three sepatate offices around the globe.
